The Ocean’s Tides: Embracing the Duality of Power and Calm

The regular rise and fall of the ocean's waters are referred to ‘high’ and ‘low’ tides.

At high tide, when the crest of the wave reaches the highest point, the ocean is a majestic force of power.

At low tide, when the water retreats to its lowest level, the ocean is peaceful, with gentle lapping waves.

The ocean, in its ever-changing nature, serves as a powerful metaphor for our own inherent duality.

By recognizing our capacity to embody both power and calm, we can tap into our strength during challenging times and cultivate inner calmness amidst the chaos.

The key lies in finding the delicate balance between our own powerful energy and stillness.

The ocean's constant movement teaches us to go with the flow, embrace change, and find our footing amidst uncertainty.

And just as surfers ride the waves, we can learn to ride the waves of life with grace and adaptability.

The two paintings, Low Tide and High Tide, were created to celebrate the juxtaposition of the tides. They can hang beside each other as a pair, or they can hang as standalone pieces.
